About

I am Jin Ho Jeon, preparing for graduate study in computational and mathematical sciences. This site records my study of mathematics and numerical computation, with an emphasis on connecting derivations to implementations.

Current focus

My published notes currently cover measure-theoretic convergence and floating-point arithmetic. Work in progress covers optimization and iterative solvers. My next study directions are numerical PDEs and FEM, preconditioning, domain decomposition, and parallel sparse computation.

The organizing path is mathematical foundations → numerical methods → solvers → parallel implementation → research experiments.

How to read this notebook

  • Notes groups published material by subject.
  • Projects connects prerequisites, algorithms, implementations, and planned experiments.
  • Research explains the current direction and how experimental evidence will be recorded.
  • Papers will connect paper notes to these projects.

This is a working study archive. Unfinished notes remain in the GitHub repository until they are ready to publish. Project status describes the evidence linked on this site, rather than a claim of completed research.

Tools

Existing notes contain MATLAB and Python code and C++-style pseudocode. I use Markdown and LaTeX for exposition and Git/GitHub for version control. MPI, CMake, Bash, and performance measurement are part of the planned parallel-computing workflow.
